In analyzing the lighting of this building, it is important to pay attention to the aesthetics and function of lighting. Hidden lights and lamps embedded in bookshelves emphasize the spatial and sensory experience, rather than focusing on specific light sources. This lighting style is inspired by minimalist works that simultaneously display simplicity and perfection, making the space feel calm and reflective.
In terms of function, this lighting method is very practical in an environment such as a library that requires soft and diffused light. Linear lights embedded in bookshelves help with visual clarity and make reading easier. On the other hand, avoiding the use of conventional ceiling lights and using architectural elements such as patterned glass on the ceiling gives the space more energy and depth. This clever function not only prevents energy waste but also gives the space a more natural beauty.
From a Gestalt perspective, this lighting helps create a kind of spatial coherence and visual connection between the different components of the library.
