Description

In the universe, everything is formed from the arrangement of smaller components. This idea inspired the design of a modular lamp that innovatively repurposes the slats of old metal blinds, originally intended for controlling light. In this project, the recycled slats are creatively utilized to distribute light in a 360-degree manner instead of blocking it. The main challenge of this design was to use the least amount of materials possible to create a lightweight, efficient, and sustainable lamp. With its striking and modular form, this lamp offers diverse configurations for light control and reflection. The interplay of light and shadow, achieved by the curvature of each slat while keeping the light source out of direct view, along with vibrant and energetic colors, creates a unique and dynamic atmosphere. The dimensions of this lamp are 130 centimeters in length and 25 centimeters in diameter.

Description

The design of this villa in Kerman, a city with a hot and dry climate, takes into account the prevalence of nocturnal living in such environments. The goal is to create a pleasant atmosphere that ensures thermal comfort and fosters a sense of belonging among family members. Various lighting scenarios have been envisioned, with architectural elements and landscape furniture designed to serve not only their usual functions but also as light sources. This approach minimizes light pollution, glare, and visual clutter, allowing us to focus on the effects of light within the space. Additionally, we utilized light poles as complementary lighting elements to enhance security during nighttime when residents are absent. The proposed lighting layers cater to emotional needs and create diverse spatial experiences. For instance, we can blend or distinguish between indoor and outdoor spaces. By illuminating plants, we create patterns of light and shadow on walls, making the environment more inviting
