Purposeful calm with lasting presence
The light of these pendants does not enter the space with an abrupt visual intrusion but with a calm, deliberate layer, as if part of the air slowly acquires color and form. The green-to-yellow gradient, in its unlit state, is merely a surface color shift, yet when illuminated it gains depth, inviting the textures to engage in a dialogue with the light. Each texture, whether reminiscent of fish scales or composed of parallel grooves, creates a distinct path for light to pass through and refract, resulting in a soft, understated illumination that glides from the edges toward the center. This quality allows the fixture to deliver a meaningful lighting experience, extending its role beyond simply brightening the surface below.
Structurally, the body is 3D-printed from recycled polymer, a process that enables millimeter-precise control over thickness and the intentional calibration of transparency in each section. This localized control helps reduce glare while shaping an even distribution of light. The pendant’s compact, volumetric form focuses light into a defined zone, making it well-suited for spaces requiring localized, warm, and characterful lighting. The cable and suspension mechanism function reliably, though they could have been visually tuned to better align with the body’s design language for a more complete visual coherence. 
The design language of the collection carries an internal unity that keeps each piece, despite differences in texture and fine detail, firmly within the same family. Here, the gestalt is built on the balance between volume, color, and texture, ensuring the eye experiences no visual disjunction when moving between pieces. Light and shadow feel alive on these surfaces; shifting viewpoints either accentuate or soften the textures, and this visual dynamism elevates the product’s perceptual value. The choice of 3D printing as the manufacturing method is not only a technical means to achieve this precision but also perfectly aligned with the project’s material and conceptual core.
Sustainability here is not an afterthought but embedded at the very heart of the product. The recovered fishing nets are not only the source of the material but also the origin of the visual identity, the blue-green color and tactile qualities recall the very environment from which they were taken. This decision turns the luminaire into part of an environmental narrative, manifest both in message and in substance. Ultimately, the design value of Coastal Breeze lies in the purposeful convergence of form, light, material, and message, a collection that does not seek to impress with eccentric shapes or instant visual impact, but instead offers a calm, enduring, and sensorially rich experience capable of leaving a lasting imprint on the memory of a space.
