The 2026 edition will host more than 450 exhibitors from over 30 countries, with international companies accounting for more than 90 percent of the global showcase. Co-located with Intersec Dubai, the event is expected to attract over 16,000 industry professionals, including designers, engineers, manufacturers, developers, and government representatives from across the region and beyond.
Positioned at the intersection of lighting, building technology, and smart infrastructure, Light + Intelligent Building Middle East reflects the accelerating demand for advanced, energy-efficient, and digitally integrated solutions across the Middle East. The region continues to invest heavily in large-scale construction, urban development, and infrastructure projects, placing lighting and intelligent systems at the core of future-ready environments.
According to market data from Grand View Research, the LED lighting market in the Middle East and Africa generated revenues of US$6.66 billion in 2024, representing 7.6 percent of the global market. The sector is forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 8.1 percent between 2025 and 2030, reaching an estimated US$10.34 billion by the end of the decade. This growth trajectory underscores the strategic relevance of the exhibition within the wider construction and technology landscape.

The 2026 show floor will feature a strong line-up of international and regional brands across lighting and intelligent building sectors. Leading lighting companies including Signify, LEDVANCE, Opple, Honeywell Lighting, Schréder and Illus will be joined by key players in building automation and smart technologies such as KNX, Theben, Airzone and TE Connectivity. Together, they will present solutions spanning architectural and technical lighting, smart controls, electrical engineering, and integrated building systems.
Beyond the exhibition, the event will host a comprehensive programme of conferences and knowledge platforms, including THINKLIGHT, InSpotLight, and the Smart Building Summit. These forums are designed to complement the show floor by addressing industry challenges, emerging technologies, and future market directions, while maintaining a clear distinction between commercial exhibition and professional discourse.
Now in its fourth edition, the Smart Building Summit reflects the rapid expansion of intelligent building technologies across the region. The intelligent building market in the Middle East is forecast to reach US$9.2 billion by 2030, driven by increased investment in smart infrastructure, automation, and sustainability-focused development. The summit will bring together architects, policymakers, technology providers, and sustainability experts to explore how digital systems are reshaping the built environment.

A key moment of the event will be the Light Middle East Awards, held on 14 January at Conrad Dubai. Now in its 12th edition, the awards programme recognises excellence across lighting projects, products, and partnerships, and is widely regarded as the region’s most influential platform celebrating achievement within the lighting industry.
Spanning six dedicated product sections, including Technical Lighting, Architectural Lighting, Decorative Lighting, Electrical Engineering, and Smart Home and Building Automation, Light + Intelligent Building Middle East 2026 offers a comprehensive snapshot of an industry in transition. As lighting and building technologies continue to converge, the exhibition remains a central meeting point for those shaping the future of the region’s built environment.
