At first glance, the aesthetics of this work seem very minimal and poetic. The white and thin disc is suspended in the space with a certain elegance and conveys a sense of lightness and floating to the viewer. This design, which uses light as a basic element to create a soft and calm atmosphere, has the power to create movement and dynamics. The use of simple lines and light volumes has made the disk appear as if it does not obey the laws of gravity. The graphic design of this work is reminiscent of the works of modern minimal artists such as Alexander Calder or even the works of light art, which consider light as an artistic medium.
In terms of performance and mechanism, the use of lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and plastic alongside metals to maintain balance and stability while keeping the light weight down is innovative and smart. The suspension of the disc by three thin wires, as well as the ability to adjust the angle and height, are among the technical features that allow the user to change the way the light is distributed to his liking. Placing the LED light in the ring section under the disc and the ability to adjust the light asymmetrically, this product has a flexible use in different spaces such as galleries, hotels or residential spaces.
Its circular shape and suspended style are reminiscent of celestial bodies, such as the moon or planets, which are suspended in space. We can even point out its similarities with the “gravitational ring” that is mentioned in science-fiction literature. All in all, this beacon intends to build a bridge between technology and art and also uses light as a malleable and dynamic element; As if light is like a physical substance that can be shaped by the hand of the artist or the user.
