On sunny days, when the conditions align just so, light filters through ceiling pipes, creating a mesmerizing effect that mimics drops falling onto water. As the wind shifts, the light dances across the space, offering a constantly evolving visual experience. This architectural project, completed as part of a PhD thesis, is a remarkable exploration of how architecture can engage with the natural elements—seasonal changes, daily shifts, and the play of light and wind. Nestled between a zoo and a university, the site is unexpectedly lush, teeming with vegetation and wildlife, despite its urban surroundings. The design, shaped by the unique contours of the site and the natural flow of sun and wind, was entirely constructed by the architect himself. This project, which stands as a testament to the delicate interplay between human creativity and nature’s unpredictability, has earned accolades at several international design awards.
