Celebrating Creativity and Light: The New LIT 2025 Award Begins
As one of the most prestigious global Awards in lighting design and lighting products, the LIT Lighting Design Awards has provided a valuable platform for discovering and showcasing creative talent in the industry. Launched in 2017, the award has always strived to reach new frontiers in the design and use of light. LIT is not only a platform for award, but also a forum for exchanging ideas, showcasing innovations and inspiring the global lighting design community.
The 2024 edition of the award, with more than 800 entries from 58 countries, represented an endless diversity of perspectives and approaches to lighting design. The top projects of this year were selected in various categories including architectural lighting, entertainment and lighting product design, and each one achieved a new definition of lighting design in its own way. Among the notable works of this year, the project “Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto” by ZNA Studio at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, which created an artistic and historical atmosphere for visitors with creative lighting.
Also, in the Entertainment Lighting category, Takahiro Matsuo won an award for his eye-catching work “The Creation”. The project consisted of 20,000 suspended acrylic spheres that created an otherworldly and poetic experience for the audience with their coordinated movement and interaction of lights. In the Product Design category, Pipe Lighting GmbH won the prestigious award for its environmentally friendly portable LED system. The product revolutionized the field of professional lighting due to its intelligent design and usability on film sets.
